The only name in college sports NFTs

Buy, sell, and trade the best moments in college sports

Leveraging the core platform developed for the RECUR Forever Pass experience, the team set out to develop our next project: NFTU.
Partnering with over 50 schools across every division and conference, NFTU offers users the ability to collect officially licensed NFT moments of their favorite players from their favorite college sports and share in trading and owning rare highlights.
I was tasked with adapting the design system established with the Recur Forever Pass experience and extend the NFTU brand style and developing the user experience for the NFT trading process.

Weekly, timed drops

With NFTs, Cases, and gaming challenges being a key focus of the NFTU experience, the team needed to explore ways to adapt the existing platform to not only allow users to purchase both of these new asset classes, but also indicate which ones would be viable to complete specific challenges for the season.
User feedback on the RECUR Forever Pass experience encouraged us to consider new approaches on how we articulate certain user actions to be more clear and deliberate.

Built on the RECUR platform

Core portions of the experience, namely the Product Detail Page, Wallet, and Checkout flows were adapted from the UX established in the RECUR Forever Pass experience.
This allowed us to streamline development, with the front end development team carrying over the same code structure, but apply the updated branding for NFTU.

Elevate the game with NFTU Challenges

Along with collecting and trading their NFTs, users can participate in challenges that unlock exclusive moments that won't be available in any drop.
To complete a challenge, users need to burn their eligible NFTs to exchange them for the Challenge reward. Once they've been burned, they can no longer be recovered, yet they'll receive a rarer, more valuable NFT in return.
Developing this gaming function allowed the team another feature to add to the RECUR platform's product offering.

Delivering a winning experience

The platform collaborated with over 50 universities and featured highlights from numerous athletes, including notable names like Ja Morant and Carmelo Anthony.
It’s debut was met with significant enthusiasm, with its initial collection selling out nearly 20,000 packs in seconds underscoring the strong demand for digital sports memorabilia and the potential for NFTs in the collegiate sports arena.

Let's build something great together.
